2021 Ford Crossover Buying Guide

In the market for a Ford crossover? There are now several models to choose from. This guide goes over three to consider:

1. 2021 Ford Escape

The Ford Escape comes with a 181-horsepower turbocharged 1.5-liter, three-cylinder engine. You can also go with a 250-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter, four-cylinder. Both are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Front-wheel drive is standard, but all-wheel drive is available. This crossover has excellent gas mileage: 28 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway. It also has a big cabin that fits five people, along with tons of cargo room: 33.5 cubic feet behind the back row and 65.4 cubic feet when it's down.

Standard tech and safety features include Bluetooth®, a six-speaker stereo, rear cross-traffic alert, lane keep assist and more.

2. 2021 Ford EcoSport

The base engine in the Ford EcoSport is a 123-horsepower 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder unit. The other option is a 166-horsepower 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine. A six-speed automatic transmission is standard with either engine. You will also get front-wheel drive, but you can opt for all-wheel drive.

For a small SUV, you may be surprised with the roominess of the Ford EcoSport, as it easily accommodates up to five people. It also has impressive cargo room: 20.9 cubic feet behind the rear seats and 50 cubic feet when they're folded. A side-opening cargo door is standard. Every Ford EcoSport also comes with:

3. 2021 Ford Edge

An eight-speed automatic transmission is standard with the base engine, but the V6 gets a 7-speed automatic. Front-wheel drive comes standard, but all-wheel drive is available.
