My Ford posted an article this summer with five suggestions for the best, most scenic national parks, and the best places to drive while you're there. Most of the destinations are far afield, like the Adirondacks on the east coast.

The list wouldn't be complete without a mention of our own Yosemite National Park, however.

The author recommended visitors take Tioga Pass Road, which is a segment of California 120 that traverses some of the highest peaks in the park. In fact, it is so high elevation, the road is closed throughout winter, sometimes closing down as early as October.

That still leaves you a few months to get there before being snowed out. The route passes through Tuolumne Meadows, an alpine expanse to idyllic, you won't believe you're only three hours from Folsom.

If you're looking for a vehicle to get you there, come test drive a new Ford Expedition at Folsom Lake Ford. You'll love that Hill Start Assist is a standard feature while you're winding up a steep mountain path.
